North Wales August 14 & 15 2003
This two day trip was principally engineered to see modern steam engineers Nigel Day and Shaun McMahon, who was visiting from Argentina.
I organised my time on the first day so I was able to visit the Welshpool and Llanfair Railway to see the modifications undertaken by Nigel & Shaun. On the way from the WLLR to see Nigel I stopped off at Porthmadog Harbour station to visit the Ffestiniog Railway and get some photographs of the goings on. I also took some photographs around Llanberis whilst waiting for Nigel to finish work.
On the second day, before meeting Shaun, I spent my time getting some photographs of the trains on the Ffestiniog Railway. I started up on the hills near Ddaullt before heading closer in to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
