FCAF Locomotives in Late 2006
In late 2006 FCAF arranged a series of photographs of their fleet of locomotives following the arrival, earlier in the year, of brand new Garratt 0-4-0+0-4-0, No.5, from South Africa. This locomotive, FCAF No.5, was built from a few of the parts constructed in 1994 and mainly of new components produced by Phil Girdlestone's engineering firm. When FCAF No.2 was built a second loco was built in kit form but never constructed. Many of the parts were used to keep No.2 running when it became clear the loco was not up to the task.
