W&LLR No.15 'Orion'

Built in 1948 for the Jokioisten Railway of Finland by Les Ateliers Metallurgiques division de Tubize this 2-6-2t moved to the W&LLR in 1983. Slightly too heavy on the driving axles for the W&LLR the weight distribution was altered making the loco rather slippery and thus it never really became the really useful machine it had been hoped. In 2006 it returned to its home line in Finland, now a preserved railway. The Lempor was fitted in 2000 but is believed to have been removed since its return home. It is No.5 on the Jokioisten Railway.

This is Tubize built 2-6-2 No.15 Orion. This locomotive used to operate in Finland. It was the largest locomotive on the line but has since returned to Finland. August 14 2003
