For as long I can remember I have been interested in steam engines. I suppose interested is a bit of an understatement ! I was brought up in what was Great Western Railway country and have always counted the GWR as my favourite of the old 'Big Four' railway companies that formed British Railways.

After many years
of following mainline steam I decided to get involved. Since July 1998
I have been a member of the 6024 working party. I am also a regular
member of the support crew out on the mainline since I gained my PTS
over 2 days in 'exciting' Derby in 1999. |
